Monica’s Fitness Philosophy

PhilosophymainpicCreating a life centered around total health and wellness starts with a good nutrition plan and is matched with healthy physical activity. In order to do this I must stress the benefits of both eating a clean diet as well as implementing a regular workout routine.

I can’t emphasize enough how working out on a regular basis is a key part of living a healthy and balanced life. Thankfully there are many, many ways to make this happen. If you’re a fan of aerobic classes like kickboxing, cardio boot camp, dancing or enjoy getting outside to swim, bike, run or row…. there is certainly a form of exercise you can do that you will learn to love and enjoy! There are also workout plans that fit into every lifestyle– joining a gym might not be a realistic goal for many, or it might be exactly what you need to find the motivation.

The number one way to ensure fitness is going to be a part of your weekly routine is to MAKE IT A PRIORITY. It won’t always be fun to wake up before the sun, or hit the pavement when you might wanna kick your feet up– but your body and mind will thank you in the long run.

There are only so many hours in the day and I try to make the most out of mine on a daily basis, and for me this means starting my days at 5:30 am to exercise.  At home workout systems have been the most ideal choice for my personal lifestyle, since I don’t want to drag my sleeping children out of bed and to the gym everyday. My favorite workout programs have been the P90X series (P90X, P90X2, and P90X3). It has always been the base of my workout plan, and it has kept me feeling like an ideal version of myself. I don’t feel truly complete without exercise in my daily routine! Exercise is so essential for keeping us operating at our highest level in almost all avenues of life. For me I know when I exercise I feel happier, my energy levels are high, I NEVER get sick, I can wear the things I want and feel great in them, I feel more able to tackle stressful situations, I sleep great and I, of course, feel great!

By incorporating exercise into your routine, you will drastically improve:

Now that you know what exercise can do for your body, it’s time to decide what plan is right for your lifestyle. Depending on the results you are looking for you need to be keeping up a weekly routine that allows your body to achieve it’s goals. If you are looking to maintain wellness, working out 3-5 days would be optimal for creating a healthy & fit body. But for those looking to achieve drastic results (either weight loss or ripped muscle definition) you will need to dedicate one hour a day for 6 days a week!

Here are some plans that might work for you!  Fitness Programs
